I don't care if you don't watch animated shows because they're for kids. I care even less if you look down on this story for being based on a video game. I promise you, you'll not find better storytelling, characters, visuals, music, just EVERYTHING, than this. Arcane is the most incredible show I've ever seen. And I don't say that lightly. Oh, and the soundtrack? My god. It's just so beautiful and epic, and just incredible well woven into the show. I've never seen a show utilize the scenes in with the music this well before! And the voice acting is just on another level!! I don't even want to start in on the animation because I'll write a whole essay. These animators have actually gone the extra mile to create something so beautiful and immersive and they hyper jumped into another dimension of awesome by personalizing everything about the visuals to each character along with the editing of the scenes. Each character has a beat to them, and it comes through on their scenes. And their expressions are so real! When you see a character wince or smirk sarcastically, you feel it. And the characters and arcs, I love all of them. The world and these people feel real because the stories are so personal and none of them are boring or slow for a second. You'll go from a battle to a private concert and it all feels high-stakes. This is what storytelling is supposed to be. I couldn't even tell you who my favourite character is because they're all incredible in their own right. And these characters are never stagnant. The story is so well packed together that there is never a moment you're not on the edge of your seat.
