I have officially given up on "professional movie critics". These negative reviews are inaccurate. This movie was great. I didn't expect it to be so in tune with the current issues plaguing our nation. It definitely struck home with the current issues of mental illness and the treatment of it, both by society and our government. It's a comic book movie so I kinda expect it to possibly be superficial and somewhat childish. This movie was dark and captivating... it definitely sets the foundation for a hero to come to light.
