Love this book once I looked up the words I didnt know. Ha! This author has a wonderful way with dialects and atmosphere. I have read the book, am now listening to the audio-book and eventually will allow myself the movie! (although HOW they could have done it justice I cant imagine!)

I was unprepared for the intensity of this movie. WOW I only regret leaving the theater before listening to the music with the closing credits to decompress and ponder the horrors of war.
