So you're looking for an honest review on BF5?
I'll give you one based on my experience in the game with 200+ logged hours. Here I will summarize about some aspects of the game including campaign, multiplayer, and who this game is meant for.
Campaign:
In all honesty, you could play the game's campaign, and it would still be action-packed even without playing with anyone else. The scenery is quite lovely even for some of the older consoles as the depictions of a WW2 environment surround you. The sounds are astounding as well as the guns feel like they pack some power behind it, and this is especially good for the vehicles. The campaign mostly revolves around large environments for the player to explore and complete objectives. This gives the player time to investigate at their own pace and gives them the decision to go in stealthy or guns blazing. Currently, in the story mode, you can only play as a soldier or a tank commander, but this does somewhat let you down. The stories told from each person's perspective lets you know why they're essential. I would say that the only flaw to the campaign is that there are fewer stories based on people fighting at places like the D-Day landings. This means that the stories are told from other perspectives mostly behind enemy lines, and it makes it feel as though you're not fighting in an actual historical battle.
Multiplayer:
Some people love it while others hate it. It's full of players that range in skill, but if you're not into losing half and winning half the time, it might not be for you. A lot of BF5 veterans are very skilled. Newer players entering for the first time might find it quite frustrating to get killed by guns and vehicles regularly. Multiplayer modes are for aggressive and competitive players who enjoy a good challenge. It can be quite rewarding, however, and there are many things to strive for, like completing assignments, gaining more company coins, or just trying to get better. The games are great, but many plays are based on the team you spawn with. Usually, it is a case where you might have a few good players, but the enemy team is much better, and they end up overpowering yours. The fighting never ends, but you can always find rewarding experiences such as your first enemy tank destroyed, or your first flanking streak.
Overall:
If you love a challenge against others and you want an aggressive FPS game with excellent story-telling environments than you should get this game. The game often receives improvements and updates that yield rewards for you're company arsenal. This means there have been no DLC packs you have had to pay for as of yet. Cosmetics are available to achieve and buy if you're into that as well. If you want to find out more, feel free to check out the game on YouTube.
