This was a typical entertainer. The script lost focus in some parts and the story did not seem well-knit. Moreover, I, personally felt that the actors did not actually feel like college students in the flashbacks that were shown. But again, this is not a movie to be watched with a lot of expectations. For me, some jokes were a hit and some were not thought out properly. I also felt that there was no proper passion put into the film from the editor and the director. I would not recommend this film to anyone. But, I don't think you would be disappointed a lot if you go into the film without a lot of expectations. It is certainly not the worst movie of 2017. The movie watching experience felt below average.

I did not expect much going into this film. Yet, I was disappointed. The story felt mindless. I know this was meant to be a commercial film and story does not matter a great deal. But, I think it would have been done better with some complexity in the story-line. The character arch of the lead roles in the movie was not something that they took into consideration while making it. There were a couple of good themes in the film. But, the writers did a terrible job of bringing the emotion into the script. As for the acting, I, personally felt no chemistry between the lead roles. Pranav Mohanlal did improve a lot from his previous film. But, he would always be compared to his father when it comes to acting. I am pretty sure, he is talented and could redeem himself in the foreseeable future. The action sequences were average at best (As in, I did not feel the thrill of watching a fight. It felt like there were no big stakes during the scenes, despite the story demanding it. This could have been a problem with the script). The VFX at the end fight scene was straight up atrocious. I, personally would not recommend this film to anyone. But, yeah, watch it if simple masala type plot-lines are your thing.
