Outstanding. This is the game that brought me to Playstation after being a dedicated PC gamer. The first missions, with the need to move slowly, served to familiarize me with the controller that, before Black had seemed impossible to master when other FPS games had left me ready to toss the thing onto the trash heap. Now, years later, when I've played through the latest Call of Duty, Ghost Recon or Rainbow Six, I often toss Black into my first PS3 (backwards compatible) and have at it all over again. Among the wealth of truly great games developed by EA and others, Black stands as an enduring icon of what a campaign based FPS should be. The only criticism I have is that the game does not save to checkpoints, once the console is turned off and that the Mission save points (which it does keep) are WAY too far apart. If any game ever deserved a sequel, this is it.
