Convoluted and conveniently leaves white guilt safely at the sidelines as it pits victimized people of color against each other. Plodding and at times ridiculous; somewhat choppy editing that may have intended to be edgy but instead was just jarring and fairly exhausting to watch. Unfortunate, because all of the actors were talented and did what they could with an unbelievable script. The motivation and dialog of the adoptive parents was the worst as they kept doing 180s alternately yelling at and fawning over the son at the least convincing junctures. A no that we wanted to be a yes.
