Really great show, would like to have seen them take it further.

I feel that a lot of people are watching this expecting to see Damon type character that Ian portrays. I think that they need to wipe the slate clean of that memory and go into it with an open mind. This is not like Vampire Diaries. They have done very well with a plausible outtake on vampirism. There are new viruses and bacteria found all the time. Just remember this is only season 1, a lot of series start slow and build on it. It's definitely worth seeing it further along.
