This game was ok. It featured the ability to give your squad orders which changed what they did and altered how much damage they did to enemies in certain places.
Since it was starwars many people felt it was super good plus it was on the in expensive side which made it easy to get. And it was very kid friendly with nothing overly complex.
The game plays very linear with and obvious shooting gallery-sequence style as you just continue on a path and targets are in the path. The actual voice dialogue and sound is good even the music is not too bad. Control wise its not the greatest but with the enemies on specific patterns and its fairly light difficulty its not too hard. In addition its difficult to actually lose as it features a revive mechanic that was used in a few other games.
It's deffinately not as good as starwars dark forces games that came out before.
This one is more like the old terminator fps game that came out.
I suppose since it was star wars the not great graphics, empty areas with no details was forgiven. Plus it was a cheap game on consoles.
Like I said it is not as good as Star wars Dark forces that came out in 2000.
This was out in 2005 and the developers didn't try too hard on this. You can tell.
Its like the two jedi knight games, As in they play off tge StarxWars name, maybe have a few good sound effects and music but story wise its not that good, graphics are sub par, controls are ok at best with too many tunnel and linear game play. Ie you might as well just watch some one else play as your small areas of game play really are noticeable.
If you like star wars and are nostalgic about this old console port you might like it, but I recommend Dark Forces way more. As this one drops the ball big time on improvements.
