Despise the premise of a romantic relationship with an adult and a 15 year old. Even worse was that he fully felt like an immature teen the whole series so I couldn’t make sense of what she would see in him and when they take a moment to explain what she sees in him, the romance felt all the more contrived. I also don’t understand her ability to still work with children after that happened with a student and I severely trust her judgement. She felt like a deluded pedophile to me.

What a wonderful series. It’s a melodramatic slow burn. Grief, loss, depression, the intricacies of marriage all handled so carefully. No “good” people no protagonists just all so very deeply human. When asked, I suggest it over and over again. There is absolutely nothing out there like this one.

Not a fan, would’ve enjoyed more if the giants were actually real. But I know why they chose to tell the story the way they did
