For all the people who want to complain about a 2006 video game called Call Of Duty 3, I have something to say: you are idiots. Call Of Duty 3 is outdated, but it is still enjoyable. Call of Duty 3 is a 2006 first-person shooter video game developed by Treyarch and published by Activision. It is the third major installment in the Call of Duty series. It was released for PlayStation 2, Xbox, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii. It was a PlayStation 3 and Wii launch title in North America, Europe, and Australia. It is also the only major installment to not be released on the PC. The player takes the perspective of either an American, British, Canadian, or Polish soldier during the single-player campaign, for a total of 14 missions. Set on the Western Front of World War II, Call of Duty 3 takes place in the year 1944 and contains missions specific to four major Allied campaigns in the Battle of Normandy. This is the first game that introduced running, the ability to throw back grenades, and the first game to do 24-player online multiplayer compared to 16-player online from Call Of Duty 2, It is the first game in the Call of Duty series to introduce two different game modes. The "Normalized" mode was added to allow console players a way to adjust to the smaller kill box of Call of Duty, its expansion United Offensive, and Call of Duty 2. On the Xbox 360, Call of Duty 3 divides its multiplayer aspect into Player and Ranked matches. Player matches allow players to invite other players into their games but do not contribute points toward the leaderboard or unlock Achievements. Ranked matches put the player with and against teams of random players, contribute towards player points, and allow players to unlock Achievements. If you are an Xbox player, you have no excuse not to try this game out as Call Of Duty 3 is backward compatible with Xbox ONE and Xbox Series X. This game is almost 20 years old, but it is still enjoyable to play, laid a ton of groundwork for future Call Of Duty games, and is highly recommended to either rent or buy if you can afford it. I give this a 4 out of 5 as without any of the first three Call Of Duty games, you all wouldn't be able to suck Call Of Duty 4's genitals all day long.
