Greenbook is cringeworthy and too white saviour self indulgent. Every milestone in the movie was incredibly predictable . The movie is littered with cliche metaphors. The supposedly awe-inspiring moment are for white people to pat themselves on shoulder. They are very weak and airy. It is painstakingly long and almost monotonous. Historical the actual 'Green Book' held or still holds sacred part as tool for black people to navigate themselves in places where they were unwelcome in. So to have the movie title with something as weighty as that one had expectations that the content of the movie would follow suit in highly intelligent and sophisticated metaphor. But instead is lofty and kum ba ya , let's all get all type of movie. It lack depth on this particular subject. I dare say it is insulting to even title this movie as 'Green Book'. Perhaps a better title would have something corny 'Dad had a black friend ' type of title. Only saving grace of this film is the actors.
