If I had to say what I enjoy most about the Oninaki game playing on the switch was the battle style, level up system for Daemons and even the weapon upgrading system. I can tell all of these things were very well thought about before making this game, but this isn't where I give the game 2 stars overall the story is what gives it this rating. Personally I don't mind a dark theme and sure I've seen my fair share of killing here and there, but this game completely exaggerates it to the point even the endings seem completely pointless. I played up to chapter 2 today in only a couple hours from last night and somehow broke the chapter. The game allows you to accidentally leave a major part of the story you were supposed to fight, saving or going back to the location does not help I would have to restart my entire save file from the demo all over again. At first glance this game from a demo perspective might have almost had some potential in a good game, but buying the game at a lowered price just showed how the experience did not grasp my interest what so ever. If the game had more meaning between the characters especially Kagachi and Linne or didn't exclude a huge portion of characters seen in the past, then with a little editing to make the story more appealing to everyone it could have been a great game the battle style was a great start everything else just drops otherwise. The Daemons don't seem to have much of a purpose outside of battle especially seeing their memories and this also made the game very unfortunate to attempt to endure. This is all just my opinion after playing the demo then transfering over to the full game and expecting a great game no one has to agree with it, but I'm just throwing it out there for those who played the demo first and think of buying it like I did.
