Haven't really listened to it at all ever... But I know why Paul McCartney doesn't like them. This record is the biggest ego record that ever existed in the pantheon of recorded recordings. Nothing exceeds its bloviating excessive egotism. U2 sucks THEY HAD THE CART BEFORE THE HORSE. I know what they still didn't find when they were looking for it : good music that's what . I was surprised to find out that it was written by a white women from Connecticut. My favorite person was Eva. I'm not religious; I'm a atheist so the religious part wasn't for me. Though there was one atheist in it. It's a historical book so I had to read it; it was worth it for Eva. And how many books from so long ago still get referenced in everyday conversation today! Uncle Tom wasn't what they call a Uncle Tom today. That's a disrespect to the man in the book. I'm glad i read it. Oh! I forgot Topsy, I learned how that poor elephant from the turn of the 20th century was named after Topsy from this book. very sad
