Atmospheric, exciting and with a terrific soundtrack. This may not be historically accurate and the Irish accents are a little ropey but it's wildly entertaining and packs a punch. Costume and cinematic photography also make this easy on the eye - and the well chosen cast make viewing a particular delight. For pure entertainment factor, this wins hands down. And, the presence of a certain Louis Partridge drew my teenage daughters away from their phones and into the living room to watch alongside mum and dad. Eye-watering at times, but a good thing on the whole!

My favourite film of all time. Heartwarming, clever and as fresh and funny today as when it was first released.
