So I waited 5 years to play this game,maybe this wasn't a "masterpiece" but I don't regret one bit playing it from start to end and definitely would plat again atleast once on survivor/grounded+(if grounded is available soon) Story is a hit or a miss,for me it was surely a hit It had a few potholes,but even after that it had a lot of meaning,but definitely not as good as the first game which I think had a better story(infact one of best stories I ever saw on any media) (SPOILERS AHEAD) Major inconsistency which I didn't like was on Tommy's part,and the only reason I understand on why he comes to Ellie to go behind Abby (which he didn't want in most part of the game) is that he's somehow traumatised by what Abby did to him and Jesse Other than that Joel Ellie flashbacks are pure love,initial Ellie-Dina missions are also good,and had some nice scenes Abby Lev story is amazing too, especially the battle between wolves and scars on seraphite island Graphics are top notch,I thought uncharted 4 had insane graphics which it had,but this game takes a step forward in realism,character models are barely improved from uncharted but other than that,graphics improve in every way possible and the environments feel so real ,this world feels real and graphics are a big reason Notes which people left in buildings and other areas I feel were more interesting and realistic in the first game than this one,I know most people won't notice but in my 35 hour playtime,the world that last of us 2 built mattered Music/sounds-This game has one of the best music ever on any game,both background music and the songs that come in the game "Take on me" and all versions of "Future days" in this game are outstanding,both by Troy Baker and Ashley Johnson Acting- All actors were beyond perfect for me Gameplay- If you love the first game's gameplay , you'll definitely definitely love this one too,it's an improvement from the first game Although the fact that before starting this game I finished the first game on grounded had something to do with it but still I expected it to be more difficult on moderate difficulty, Ellie's missions are literally a cakewalk and Abby's missions are easy too except Tommy sniper,rat king and Ellie bossfight,if you have already played first part I would recommend to play this game on hard/survivor if you like challenge, otherwise moderate is fine too But still no complaints on gameplay part,it's really good If anyone asks me if this game was Worth the wait,I would surely say yes but you need to play this with an open mind or you'll hate it It still wasn't as good as the first one which actually is a "masterpiece" but this game is amazing too and is easily one of the best games I ever played
