I don't see any other reviews for this movie, so I'll put one This movie is thematically a retelling of an old French story of the same name, its very different and extremely Americanized and more of a thriller as a film However as a kid with no money this was one of the only movies I had on disk, and to this day I still remember watching these low budget early 2000s horror films. It's essentially a yandere story.

This movie captivated me with its intricately woven plot, leaving me in awe of its dynamic cinematography. The film skillfully employs interesting camera angles that breathe personality into every scene. Throughout the entire narrative, I found myself unable to predict the unfolding events, maintaining a level of suspense that kept me engaged until the very end. While some viewers may find the open-ended conclusion frustrating, I believe it serves a purpose in the context of the story. There's a deliberate absence of a conventional happy ending, and the movie invites viewers to grapple with the complexities of its conclusion. This lack of resolution adds to the film's unique and thought-provoking atmosphere. The acting is noteworthy, portraying the intricacies of human interaction and delving into themes of trust and mutual responsibility. The movie, in my opinion, is enthralling and almost surreal, with anxiety and tension steadily building throughout. For those who appreciate nuanced and in-depth narratives, especially when executed in an abstract manner, I wholeheartedly recommend this film. It challenges conventional expectations, offering a cinematic experience rich in substance and complexity.

A shockingly profound but comedic action-drama that I truly believe anyone who enjoys a good movie should see.

It's a good movie overall, a few good twists but the ending is very abrupt and jarring. If the ending had given more closure and felt a little bit more realistic, this would be a great movie.
