Edgey and cool, the animation and visual effects is pretty decent, especially with the smoke, and the characters have a powerful emotional core to them that makes you understand why they do the things they do. Plot twists are a plenty, emotional conflicts are plenty, moments where Harlock flings his cape out dramatically and walks away are also plenty. For people who like the dark edgey cool stuff.
