Prey is a Mind Game that literally plays Mind games on you and nothing is as it seems like anytime. But the fact is this, for me, the game needed much more work and time in the oven. The story could have been better, I mean, it tried to be a System Shock or Bioshock successor and clearly achieves that but the fact the setting and the plot that is going on till that point of the ending, just doesn't fit right to me. But yeah the game is nailing its tone completely right, the fear and the tension, the breathlessness you feel for the first few hours is exhilarating. Mick Gordon again does a great job at the soundtrack department. The opening is so amazing but the rest of the game does not hold up to that level. The combat is also a more puzzle esque scenario, I belive Prey needed a bit more of Dishonored style choices, NPC interactions and a bit of Memento type movie plot twist, then this would have been the best game of the year, but I haven't played Mooncrash so I can't say about that. Even though after all this , the space exploration and the feel, the gameplay was enough for me to be hooked, so if you get on a cheap price , go for it.
