There were moments that had my attention, made me laugh, and they tried to have twists from the original that I appreciated. However, there were also a lot of cliches, farfetched scenarios, and overacting. I wish they would have casted a more mature leading lady, maybe a 30-35 year old. All in all, I could see through the special effects and glamour to see a sloppy written adaptation.

I loved the original film, and was so excited to watch the next installment. Unfortunately, ego got in the way and they relied on flashy distractions rather than inventive writing or storytelling to make it successful. I was beyond disappointed; there is so much talent that went to waste.
