I watched this with my girls age 5 and 8 both love the Cinderella story from their bedtime readings. The songs were good even though doesn’t fit well with the storyline. My 5 yrs old was confused as soon as the fairy godmother appeared as a man and nothing like the traditional fairy-godmother. My 8yrs old was asking me about the purpose of Cinderella wanted to go to the ball was to meet with a client (prince) who could introduce her to richer people so that she could sell more dresses. She asked me is that how a girl started a successful business. Even I’m confused as to what this movie is truly about. It’s definitely not a love story, or a fairy tale that’s for sure.
