I love this series! I got All Access originally to watch 'Picard' but have wanted to see 'Discovery' for awhile which helped seal the deal. Season 1 was a blast. Season 2 seemed like it was Skynet v The Federation but it had so many interesting curveballs along the way. The revelation of what the Seven Signals really were was very satisfying. The special effects are great and a reimagined Enterprise bridge was really neat to see. Closer to the original than reboot Star Trek. The only downside is that something always comes along in the nick of time. But whatever. I love Star Wars but as I am a science fiction fan first, I was hooked from the very first episode of 'Discovery'. I cannot wait to see Season 3.
