As opposed to people’s opinion on Denzel being a bitter person caused by the society, I’d say it started with his father. Father’s usually don’t get it right at first or at all and lay it all out on the children. Some of us are testaments of the fatherly behavior and I sincerely hope we do better as men. We really can’t tell what goes on in their heads and with the experience we get from our own fathers, we just have to do better. Fences is a top movie for me. Brilliant acting from all the actors. This movie incited emotions and spoke to me in a way. I hope you make some sense out of it.
