I understand that many people must have worked hard on this production, but the writing on this show is horrendous. It’s forcibly politicized to the point that it doesn’t even provide anything to the plot and makes the characters seem one dimensional. Writers probably wanted to appeal to the young liberal audience, but they did it in such an annoying way and ignored all the amazing parts of the original series. I’m a huge advocate for the representation of strong women but the writers took this opportunity for representation and made them unlikable, one dimensional, and ridiculous.
