Although the film has a few too many cliches, itโs entertaining and a nice change of pace for Kevin Hart. The brilliant Bryan Cranston is wasted in a script that plays it a little too safe. His portrayal of a man dealing with his entrapment in a body that betrays him brings us ever so close to the edge but pulls back as soon as it gets uncomfortable.
The Upside does an admirable job of showing how people with disabilities are often treated and how they should be.
