It’s a good read, but I got tired of reading of the unexplainable assaults dished out, where no one thought to stand up to the abuser, nor any of the neighbors, teachers, bosses, etc thought anything strange enough to report and investigate. I do understand that was a different time, but it irritated me by Chapter 53, as it seems it was the same things written over and over again. Enough was enough. I also understand it is supposed to a true story, so I am moreso just feeling frustrated that the victims did not have anyone to advocate for them.
