I played for 2 hours. I really don't understand the overwhelming positivity. The game is beautiful, and the concept is great. I'm sure it's rewarding if you have the time and patience to put into the game. But I don't. So maybe my opinion isn't fair, or it's biased. But the game is awful. The controls and keybinds horrendous. The tutorials are completely useless. In my experience, in the 2 hours I tried to like this game and start a new adventure, the good aspects of the game did not outweigh the bad for me. The story isn't engaging enough to make you want to sit through the tedious opening "stage" to see the rest of the story. I dropped 20$ on this game in good faith, and it's experiences like this that make it hard for me to risk dropping money on a game I can't demo first.

This is one of the greatest games of all time. Don't listen to the smelly raging fanboys. The gameplay is a bit hard and challenging to adapt to, but you'll get used to it through trial and error. The story has a deep message that's a lot more valuable than simply getting revenge, etc, etc.

This is the most advanced fighting game on the market. Not a simple button masher. This game fully enables you to be a defensive mastermind, unlike other FGs which encourage everyone to just be aggressive as you eke out an opening against your opponent. Soul Calibur is the most underrated fighting game. If you simply want to mash buttons and load up mindless combo strings and simply juggle your opponent to death, this game is not for you. This game tests your skill, ability to adapt, ability to learn from your mistakes.

I'm going to give this a solid 3 stars. There's so much I didn't like about this. And yet, by the end of it, it still somewhat left me with that fuzzy feeling that the original Cats left me with. Here are the positive aspects I will say about the movie, for one, it sticks to the lore, and almost completely follows the original play by the book which I really appreciate. Some of the songs, not all of them, and the ending sequence, brought me back to a happier time when I was younger watching the original Cats DVD, the music just moved me and made me so happy. But.. that's about all that can be said about this movie. As a die hard Cats fan, I tried to be unbiased and give this movie a fair chance, but it just made all the wrong moves. They messed up so many dynamics about the original music that made it wonderful and memorable in the first place. Rum Tum Tuggers part is one of the best songs in the play, and in this movie, it was one of the absolute worst parts. RTT is supposed to exude cockiness and sexuality, he's supposed to be a "pretty boy" and there was absolutely none of that coming from Jason Derulo. The major thing that sold his performance was his voice, which was really good, but his voice alone was not enough to stick to the original dynamic of the character. Jennifer Hudson really killed the singing, she was spectacular, her voice was anyway. But she also seemed to over-act a lot of the parts unnecessary. They completely BOTCHED the Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer song. That too is one of the best songs in the original play, and they dulled it down, and took away everything that made the original song amazing. They left out the Rumpus Cat song, which was one of the best segments from the original. I'm not going to bash the movie completely. There are some good aspects to it, I still somewhat enjoyed it. And I think if you're a die hard cats fan, you'll still enjoy it too. But there's just so much more they could have done with this movie, so much unnecessary changes they made that screw with the original dynamics. They broke that age old law of basically if it is not broken, then don't fix it. Cats is supposed to be corny and old fashioned. You can't make it "hip and cool" for the new generation. It just won't work with something like this. Nobody ever watched Cats back then because it was the cool thing to do. They watched it because it was taboo and awkward. Nobody goes out to the bar with their friends and is like "Sup dog, yall check out that new Cats flick?" Hell no. They watch it in secrecy. Indulge like a guilty pleasure. Much like people still listen to MMMbop in their heads and yet claim its one of the worst songs ever. Anyways, TL;DR if you're an original cats fan, it's worth a watch, but you will be disappointed with many aspects.

Don't expect anything spectacular. This movie had a lot of potential. It was stylish at times, but other than that, it had nothing else really to offer the audience. You likely won't grow attached to any of the characters other than John Henry, potentially his father as well. But not to the point of where you'll be worried they won't survive to the end of the movie. There was one funny scene towards the end of the movie that gave me a pretty good laugh where the duo guarding the main bad guy's house are staking out in the front and they're having a typical conversation. But I guess it was supposed to be comic relief in an otherwise relatively dark movie. Don't rent this movie to watch with friends, or select it for movie night, you'll be bored and likely find yourselves talking about the movie rather than just enjoy it. Watch this if you're bored and you've run out of things to watch. I don't know how this movie is apparently the #5 movie in America on Netflix.

Because of the production Value, I couldn't bring myself to give it 5 stars. But this movie does exactly what it set out to do, and that is raise awareness about religious psychosis and homophobia that still constricts basic human rights in America to this day. As for the movie itself, you don't really get to the meat of the story until Alex Cooper is shipped off to the "Gay Conversion Home". If you can stomach past the cheesy dialogue between Alex and her friends, and between Alex and Frankie, the movie quickly changes it's tone and becomes watchable based off the fact that you really want to see where it goes, and see the outcome, and what poor Alex has to endure. I won't say it's a great movie, I won't say it's a bad movie. It's definitely worth a watch, especially if you yourself have grown up around zealous religious people, or if you've ever had someone try to manipulate you into believing you shouldn't be happy as the person you want to be, deep inside. You'll have a character and story to relate to in Alex Cooper.

Uh.. so like, it's pretty predictable. You can't really write a review about a movie like this without giving anything away. But, I mean.. you're pretty much going to know how this all plays out from the get go. The title itself already basically gives away the plot. The characters are just so one dimensional, and there's a psychological power struggle going on between the infiltrator and the past middle aged husband who can't seem to pleasure his wife anymore. I'd say watch it with your significant other. The best thing this movie has going for it, is you two putting yourselves in the victims positions, and imagining what you'd do in their situation. But other than that, don't pick this for movie night with the friends and family. Some parts will make it really awkward to watch. Chances are you're likely not going to develop any sort of attachment to any of these characters to be on anyone's "side" (Unless you're a borderline narcissistic sociopath), or enough to feel the need to finish the movie and see how the story ends. ... and that's "The Truth"!

It is everything you expect out of a movie like this. Everything.

Muscling through all the MCU movies made Ragnarok, Infinity War and End Game truly, truly worth it. I will say I had absolutely no interest because I didn't like any of the Avengers. Couldn't connect with any of them throughout phases 1 and 2. Captain America and Thor put me to sleep, I was more interested in Loki than Thor. Iron Man movies were okay, but like Thor and Cap, I couldn't really connect with him either. I guess because I'm more of an Anti-hero type. They were all so mary sue and boring to me. The only real upside was seeing Scarlet Johansson in leather. Anyways, in spite of all this, I really, really loved the way End Game ended. Left the Avengers tarnished and broken, illustrating the heavy price to pay for being a Hero. TL;DR - if you are bored with the Avengers movies, MUSCLE THROUGH THEM. It's WORTH IT.
