The first movie of the trilogy was a bit disappointing in the fact that it was mostly reused animation- but Anemone was a vast improvement.

If youre looking for a light-heartened, simple easy going anime- this is not it. This anime short is only 13 episodes long, but it packs itself full of symbolism and deep things throughout the episodes. This is one of those animes that you really benefit from reading analysis of once your done watching to get concrete understanding. If youre someone who enjoys deeper meanings and more introspective anime, its worth the watch. The characters are relatable and enjoyable, and the art style still holds up in 2020.
