5/5, 10/10. Its rare I ever rate a movie as perfect. I've never rated a TV show as perfect. But The Boys is extremely fun, funny, dramatic while captivating your imagination by it's stark and down to earth realism. From the acting (10), to the moral conflicts (10), to the CGI (10), to the characters (10). The Boys is now in my top 5 favourite TV shows, along with The Wire, peak Game of Thrones amd The Sopranos. EDIT: It doesn't shy away from intense, gory and realistic consequences. Children, unlike every film and TV series thus far, aren't spared either (as unfortunately in real life) and brings the stakes as high as possible to keep you fully immersed mentally and emotionally invested. The Cameos, the star studded actors and lessor known cast, the showrunnerd...the people behind this show, hats off for finally merging a superhero world with realism while keeping the acting top notch!

I am not a hater. I have nothing personal against anyone involved in the production of this movie so please try to understand that the following is simply immense frustration. I was so looking forward to watching this and the first 30-40 mins was promising until (spoiler ahead) the crew stood and watched (spoiler) the Latina girl die while not firing a single shot to help her. Same old repetitive movie tropes. Same repetitive cliché characters. Same repetitive brain-dead story arc which we've all seen how many hundreds of times already. How the zombies behaved was cringe worthy. Staring and screaming while doing that same old, cheesy head lean toeach side like you see dogs do sometimes. How are there fully grown adults that enjoy watching the exact same movies that's been pumped out hundreds of times before? And their defence is, "it's supposed to be dumb and full of action". How old are these people? Even some children get bored by films like these. There is absolutely nothing imaginative, new or creative with this film. I don't find zombie films scary in general since after watching probably the 3rd zombie related movie in my younger years. There are countless zombie films now. It's almost become like a sub culture of itself. Boring. How many zombie films have we had in the last decade alone? How many more will plague our screens? Edit: Why was the daughter there? Why was she so annoying? Why did she lose respect for her father when he killed her mother after she turned into a zombie? On what planet and in which dimension would ANYONE hate their family member for protecting others from another family member who died and turned into a flesh biting (because zombies don't eat, they just pretend their going to eat their victim who somehow turns into one themselves with sometimes zero bite marks), mindless zombie? Who are greenlighting and putting money behind rubbish like this? I have absolutely no film making experience but u guarantee if I had the means to make a film of the same budget and talent, it would be impactful and unforgettable.
