Midway (2019) was not as historically inaccurate as I expected. The inclusion of the attack on Pearl Harbor, the Doolittle Raid and Battle of the Coral sea served to support the plot. The acting was sufficient and the CGI did not outstrip the story. Not Tora!Tora!Tora!, but worth watching all the same. As to the self-viewed history buffs skewering this film, well.., now we know why they are buffs and not historians. Sure, the B-26 Marauder element was inaccurate (my favourite segment of the actual history of this battle), but I did not let that ruin the film for me. Enjoy the film. (3 out of 5 stars)
