I really loved this movie, it was emotional with great set design and costuming. Everyone upset hasn’t even watched the movie, they don’t actually play Alice and Peter it’s all in their imaginations from the fairy tales they read. Try watching it and you’ll probably think it’s a cute reimagining of the fairy tales with a lot of other emotional stuff added in. The area this was filmed was known for interracial couples so it’s not impossible that the family could live there at the time. The acting was great, the story could have been more layered but it’s a kids movie so it makes sense to have a simpler take on adult problems.
