I really enjoyed the series. Growing up in East LA made it more enjoyable. Yes many of the parts are exaggerated but again it’s tv drama so if you can’t see past that then you may not find the series enjoyable. Overall I feel the actors were able to get the message across! Like how difficult it is for people/communities to accept change. In this series, the change takes place in the evolution of gentrification of a Latino community in East LA. The actors are each fighting their individual battles of change plus a bigger battle to help save their grandfathers taco shop. In the end, they were able to come together to save the shop. The series shows how families have to struggle and work hard to chase the American dream.
