This game is better than I can ever explain to you, because like all good RPGs, your own game is unique to you. Amazing replayability, has the incredible ability to make die-hard DnD players ecstatic at its faithful approach, casuals delighted by the depth they discover and total noobs amazed by the sheer quality on display, without the need for DLC and micro transactions to make it work properly. Don’t be gaslighted by studios claiming we shouldn’t expect this in the future either - I’m 44 and I can remember when games were made complete and without taking the gamer for granted, just like this. We don’t expect or think that every game has to be as good as this one, but we DEMAND that studios treat the people who buy their games as human beings and not cash cows to be milked. Support Larian! Alright overall, certainly not wasted money but overly long, surprisingly more silly and implausible (yes, even more so than the first one) than I was expecting and really boring in the middle third. There was about 40 mins too much of Penny Benjamin in the film, which would have been better spent convincing us that the trainee pilots who we were constantly told were the “best of the best” actually were the “best of the best” and not just overly-emotional millennial cannon-fodder for Tim Cruise’s superannuated main character. The middle third was an interminable soap opera, the first third and last third were an enjoyable military cartoon romp.

This game is twenty years old and it is still the finest action adventure game to ever be released on console. It’s the reason why I still have my GameCube. It’s a complete masterpiece and it makes modern AAA titles look absolutely half baked in comparison. It’s like Zelda: BOTW; people buy Nintendo Switches just so that they can play that game. I will always keep my GameCube, just so I can play this game. It’s a work of art. I’m not exaggerating. No DLC, no bugs, no unjustified hype and derivative, tired game design and dreary gameplay; this title is 100% gaming royalty and a blueprint for how to make a game that will live forever as a genuine classic. Simply the best.

I think the game's growing on me. It is a bit unfinished in some regards and the dialogue is very cheesy in some places, but there is fun to be had and I like some of the slower parts, like searching brain dances for clues. Wish the cars handled a bit better. EDIT - I’ve now calmed down a bit about the way the game serves up missions and am taking things in my own time. Really enjoying it now.

Love this game. Warts and all. You will play it. You will be interested. You will be frustrated. You will play it more. You will start to figure it out. You will get enraged with it. You will stop playing it. Then you will go back to it. Then you will level up. Then you will get good. Then you will be hooked. Then you will write a review saying you love it, warts and all! Brilliant design, buggy as hell, funny, thrilling, nerve wracking, relaxing, amazing.

Although a celebrated, rightly admired and often imitated masterpiece of cinema, Rashomon can actually be a tough film to re-watch when you consider what its real theme is; that nobody can ever say that they understand what is true in the world. The solemn thought that we are then trapped inside our own versions of the truth remains the enduring message for the audience, even as in the final scene the woodcutter's character seeks to bring some degree of kindness and harmony into a world where, up until that point, there have only been lies and chaos. This is a film that develops new meanings as you come back to it throughout your life, much like Ikiru also does.

This film will always be one of the great achievements in cinema history.
