At no point does the character development, plot or back stories allow for an emotional connection. When some plot device or reveal occurs it's simply not moving. This show had lots of potential but falls short because the audience is left with 1 dimensional characters and a far too ethereal plot line that lacks real substance. The coolest plot point was the sword fighting pregnant women. Why isn't that the main character? That one scene provided more substance and depth then the previous 5 episodes combined.

Mind bending? Yeah no. No real plot, no character development and no room for interpretation. It's like looking at grafiti passing you by on a speeding train. Just garbled colors and loud noise.
