JJ repairs the damage of last jedi in this expansive epic, a great ending to the series and suitable to wear the star wars brand name. No overly disney themes with many dark themes and tones given to the empire and sith that were missing from previous films and a very satisfying array of locations, characters and star wars lore. Unsure of why there are so many negative reviews, after last jedi i came into this film expecting to be disappointed and was pleasantly surprised. Would definitely happily rewatch and would recommend to any fans of star wars that were left feeling disappointed after the previous film. There are issues of pacing being rushed at the start although there is so much content here I am amazed it was able to fit into the run time. Would have been better as a 2 part film to fix the issues with pacing but overall a great film really felt like star wars and a satisfying ending to the story. Realistically an 8/10 although would give 5 stars to try and counter the 1 star reviews that are not realistic. Sure this is not a 10/10 perfect film although it is far from the average reviews that critics have been giving it.
