The Night Flier based on master horror writer Stephen King's work is an underrated and overlooked horror film from the 1990s.
The film has no big stars and suffers from a lack of budget.
However, what it does offer to the viewer is an imaginative, creepy and suspenseful take on the vampire tale.
Leas actor Miguel Ferrer gives a terrific performance as an amoral tabloid reporter chasing a mysterious killer who flies a small aircraft and kills people in rural airfields.

I am too old for this pile of whatever it is.
If you think ear piercing screaming is comedy, you will find this film funny.
Repetitive scenes of parties with no advancement of plot, unnecessary graphic nudity, unlikable and annoying characters, this film has every ingredient to spoil your day.
Please don't fooled be by critics reviews like I was. This is one of the worst films I have ever seen.

A rollicking good time. Some path breaking frenetic action sequences and plenty of comedy. Loved the atmosphere and the characters.

A simple, enjoyable Kung Fu classic. Not as well known as Snake in Eagle's Shadow. Fun characters and non stop action. Changes a gear in the final act. Has replay value!

Crowd-pleasing stuff. This is a throwback to the 1990s: attractive leads, open spaces, nice locations, and fun special effects. We need more films like this one. Enough of the dark, bleak, politically charged movie-making!

Your Lucky Day is a well-made low-budget thriller that takes a cynical look at the lengths people will go to for an amount of money that can completely transform your life. The action and the twists rarely slow down during the running time. The performances are solid. That being said, there is no one in the story to cheer for. It isn't easy to sympathize with any of the characters, and that will probably get some people to dislike the movie. The ending feels off.

A well shot and fast paced gorefest focused on delivering hard to watch kills. Squanders most of its potential after a unique build up. The killer's identity isn't hard to guess if you are paying attention. Doesn't have many tense moments except the sequence with the Russian kid. I found it hard to care for most of the characters. Thankfully, it is a little light on wokeism and can be a one-time watch for genre fans.

A truly mediocre offering that neither has any truly scary nor any genuinely funny moments. This is just a banal, low effort, poorly acted teen movie pandering to a woke audience. Watch Totally Killer, Influencer or Bodies Bodies Bodies instead.

Bad Samaritan is a quality low budget thriller that exceeded my expectations. I just stumbled upon it on Amazon Prime and it was a fun watch. Two small time thieves get in way over their heads when one of them makes a shocking discovery during a break in. The film is slickly paced, has plenty of suspenseful moments and offers a satisfying payoff. Give this a watch.

The real horror in Dark Harvest is in watching the filmmakers abandoning a thrilling premise midway and turning potential horror greatness into a confused mess of social commentary and unresolved questions.
The first half of the film sets up the horror fan for many interesting takes - a grisly creature fare with blood and thrilling action or a twisted sci-fi nightmare. At one point I thought if everything was taking place in an alternate timeline etc. There are some thrilling moments when the action begins.
And then suddenly it starts to descend into mediocre storytelling and banal commentary. Why couldn't the filmmakers just focus on telling a terrifying story? Anyone who has seen Hollywood in the last few years will instantly guess who will end up surviving in the end. The mid credits scene too is so futile and cheesy.
Dark Harvest is fabulous to look at, bringing to life the 1960s in small town America. However, the settings are primarily to set up social commentary on gender and race and do not further the cause of the story at all. The story set in any other time would have been as good or as bad.
I wanted to love this film. I feel let down.
