I’m usually so picky with movies but this one is a 5 for me. I teetered on a 4/4.5 because I wish the plot was thicker than some press photographers and their journey to DC. I gave the 5 though because of the overall cohesiveness of the plot and the thoughtful scenes that tell more of a story than words ever could. You got the laughs, feel good moments, a few tears, shockers that dropped my jaw to the floor and lots and lots of action. For that reason I believe this is an all around great movie and I’m surprised it’s rated so low. I will definitely be watching it again at home when it comes out!

The premise of the film sets you off on a good start so it’s crazy how they could completely ruin it. At first it’s like who wouldn’t want to watch one man take out a bunch of rich folks who think killing people is a sport, picking them off one by one. Too bad Bruce Willis’ character is just hiding in the bushes the entire movie as the characters off each other... He literally sits in a bush runs or walks with a limp and leans against trees, he leaves trails and leaves random clues to where he is. This extremely talented guy who evades death on the norm is doing this.. At one point he sits down smokes a cigar he found and eats random berries. Who would even do that on a private island where the goal is for you to die? It just doesn’t make any sense. In the beginning the producers make him out to be this big bad man who survived death on multiple occasions, has been locked in solitary confinement for 7 years, wanted in 47 states..basically insinuating that he’s extremely dangerous. This extremely dangerous and talented man and the most damage he does is pushing someone down a hill where they break their leg. Then at the end, his last opponent just keeps going on and on I AM THE APEX PREDATOR. BECAUSE I AM THE APEX PREDATOR. So Corny. This movie was a complete waste of my time. I feel bad for Bruce Willis and his dwindling health. At least he’s still making money.

With reality shows like alone out there, I was excited to watch a fictional limited series of a similar concept up until the main character was truly alone…she’s never truly alone and gets advice from the people in her head. One is actually alive and giving her advice as if she is able to call him and talk to him. He has no idea she had even crashed how is he giving advice?? It’s just so fake. It’s nothing like what it would actually be like by yourself in the wilderness. Nobody has ghosts and their lover popping up in their head clouds telling you how to survive. Strong pass after that ish started

As a recovered opiate addict, this was like a movie for the family members to relate to not the addict. I thought it was going to be a movie that shows what’s going on from the point of view of the addict but they kept it light and more so showed what my mother sees not what I see. So if you were looking for a movie that would help you understand a troubled love one who is battling with addiction, this is not it. This movie shows you what his/her mom is going through. Movie does not properly portray opiate withdrawal. It’s a lot deeper and much harder than the movie made it seem. Almost like they dulled it down for their viewers rather than keeping it raw, and real. Seems like they were more concerned with what they think people want to see rather than what they need to see. It’s crazy that they actually blow over the first 3 days of withdrawal. Those first 48 yours are the hardest and they left that out. Also, rapid withdrawal is so painful..it looks like what they showed us but x 10. I was excited then disappointed! I am not here for the fake addict movie and would not recommend.
