This butchery of a literary classic needs to be put in the grave. Close to cancelling my HBO subscription. The dialogue is basic, Lyra whines way too much, it's impossible to care about the characters, etc. The books had more action and violence and substance. I quit on episode 4, couldn't take it anymore. So disappointing... I hope this gets cancelled or someone new takes over the project and saves this sinking crapstorm.
