Good movie, yes. Good movie adaptation of a game, no. I will say that the viewer shouldn't go in expecting the movie to have anything like the games besides character names and some easter eggs to the games. When I saw this film, I saw some similarities, but when it came to details about characters it was different. Definitely could have gone the route of the video games, but it tries to establish its own story which is nice. In addition, there are different rules that applies to this Mortal Kombat universe compared to our normal games from 1 to 11. Lastly just saying, if you are a fan of the games and the original movie, you may dislike this movie. However, if you don't care and just want to watch a good film with some good action fights. This is it.
