As in other reviews this started with a bang and just went downhill for every episode onwards. The whole plot/storyline was as terrible as the bananas she purchased. Taking the kids out of school to a caravan park - seriously!! Absolute trash on so many levels.

This is quite simply an average movie with a mediocre plot saved by the brilliance of Denzil Washington. Without Denzil as the lead character I would give this 2 stars. The plot is unrealistic in places but thankfully Denzil and his captivating performance as ever makes this a watchable movie. We are blessed to have Denzil as sadly very few actors of his talent are worthy of the big screen

Watched it to the end hoping that it would redeem itself. How on earth did Halle Berry get an Oscar for her performance. Such a disjointed movie combining a simple storyline with random happenings. Sex scenes father/son with same prostitute and unnecessary prolonged Halle Berry sex scene....clearly aimed at selling the movie in the wrong way in my opinion. This movie did not get the best out of either Berry or Thornton...a complete lack of chemistry to add.

This is so poor. Tom Berenger must have hit hard times and was looking for a pay day with this Z-list movie. Seriously....so many flaws in this movie...how on earth did he kill the son with 2 gun shots and in reply the machine gun go off in rapid fire yet the father was unable to hear!!! On a plus some nice scenery!

Sadly a wasted opportunity to get the best out of Sheila Hancock with such a flawed storyline. The plot lacked credibility and I'm sure not a good reflection upon the Scottish locals if that's how they treat a lady in her twighlight years especially when co star character Jonny had been made aware of her plight but continued to be thoughtless in his mannerism towards her.

An opportunity lost. Perhaps the director should have watched the series 'The Serpent' and 'Snowfall' to understand how to craft their production. It fell foul of poor acting and unrealistic plots with absurd coincidences as previously mentioned in a review. The gullible bumbling retired detective, the pathetic female police chief...the weak acting of the female detective and the dreadful persona of the son who was behind it all. The only shining light was the performance of the bearded Romanian hit man with his ice cool demeanour. Score.....C-

A must watch!! I had never heard of Snowfall and was facing yet another groundhog day of lockdown....flicking through the tv programmes I came across Snowfall. 3 days of addiction and my OCD found its way through all 30 episodes and left me wanting more! 5 star performances across the cast of actors with a fast paced hard hitting and believable storyline making compulsive viewing.

I'd just watched 'The Serpent' which was one of the best series I had ever seen. With this in mind my expectation levels had risen. I had watched Hugh Lawrie in the Roadkill series and was very impressed with his performance so thought this may be another great watch. Sadly it was such a let down on so many occasions. It was way too far fetched making making Hugh Lawrie look like a dumb criminal.

Very few movies touch you the way this one does...keep the tissues close.

Deep and thought provoking with an intensity throughout. Superb acting.
