I was hesitant to see this film, since I find the glamorization of the Manson family frustrating. Thankfully, the family functions more to set the tone and to facilitate crushing any delusions you might maintain about the 60s. Tarantino films are more like a journey or experience, with each actor communicating worlds about their character through subtlety, and each element informed a tightly knit conclusion. Tarantino definitely does that here; this is a movie you could watch ten times and pick up something new each round. If you liked Pulp FIction, you’ll love this film, and will enjoy the cartoonish ending the Manson family deserved.
