Firstly, after a brief read of the other reviews there seems to be many bigoted people watching this show. I for one see nothing wrong with black and Asian cast actors. The first couple of episodes show promise, the often touted sky high budget has clearly worked its wonders when it comes to the graphics, clothing, and sets. Having read the Silmarilan, The Hobbit and the three LOTR books I am intrigued as to where the series will be take us. I am also very glad that series two will be filmed in the UK, where Tolkein based much of his imaginative world building.
