Pokemon and Gamefreak made a horrible decision to allow a 3rd party to make this game. As a remake we have been looking forward to for years, it seems as if they took a page out of Star Wars Episode 8 and destroyed everything the fan base currently enjoys. These game are an updated version of an original game that already felt incomplete. Their goal was to recreate the same game, and they did. They hit their goals, but did not make a game that resonates well with their fan base. Here is a laundry list of things they ruined: 1. Breakable TMs 2. No mega evolutions 3. No dynamax/gigantamax 4. No Z-moves 5. Movement (why am I bumping into a wall?) 6. No Battle Frontier 7. No Pokemon Home availability (ILCA designed it? What’s the hold out?) 8. Walking with your Pokemon 9. Future gen Pokemon 10. Poffin cooking is atrocious 11. Certain Pokemon only available after beating the Elite Four and Champion 12. No regional variants These issues really need to be addressed. This was a poorly designed game and Pokemon and Gamefreak need to accept their part in this as well.
