I wasn't sure about it right after watching the first episode, but I watched more and this series is hilarious! I'm sorry to see so many one-star reviews from Indians - yes, this show is mocking Indians. Keep watching, the show is making fun of EVERYONE. It's a SATIRICAL COMEDY.
I was so happy to once again see the actor who played the brother in "My Name is Earl" - in fact, I think 'The Pradeeps' reminds me a lot of that show. It has just enough realism to relate to the characters, plus just enough of the absurd to make it comedically genius.
Perhaps it's "an acquired taste," but keep on nibbling and soon you may be as addicted as I am. I can't wait for the second season; that went by far too quickly.

The Five People You Meet in Heaven is actually a very lovely book. Actually I guess I've enjoyed all of the Mitch Albom books I've read. They all are well-written and have a lot of heart.
