Not an easy watch. I don’t enjoy the usual feel good endings of American movies, but I found myself wishing for one. The film is a satirical view of our political and capitalist society, and it hits the nail on the head so accurately it chills my bones. I wanted them to find that miracle answer. It’s somehow a clumsy movie to watch, perhaps one that was written without the benefit of time for the script to mature properly. But the haste and lack of finesse fits the message best. We don’t have time. Wake up! screams the film. Wake up, wake up, wake up. The privileged won’t, they benefit too much from the system as it is. We must. Time for a different kind of revolution. Time for the hordes to find their power.
