I feel so annoyed that I started watching this 😑 I remember watching the original as a kid so wanted to give it a go. The show is well produced with good acting, costumes and scenes. I started watching it and thought "cool" this seems like a much better version of the original and they're exploring some nice scientific theories. I thought I was going to enjoy it till a few episodes in the found myself cursing the screen and irate with almost every main character.... The problem is, the writers are either lazy or have their 'hands tied'. It's obvious from the get go that they've had quite a bit of professional consultation when it comes to scientific concepts depicted. This is evidential during some episodes and the viewer gets the idea that the Robinson family are all extremely intelligent and adept in their respective fields. When we consider that all these fields favour methodical and logical thinkers with high intellect we begin to question how is it that this collection of humans with super IQ's, high education and who have been rigorously trained and tested in surviving extreme emergencies repeatedly make the stupidest decisions. Somes of these decisions, if a 3 year old with learning difficulties had made, you'd be very disappointed and want to gradually distance yourself from them just so you're no longer associated. These are the people bestowed with the fate of humankind so you'd expect a more impressive cognitive display...and this isnt isolated, it happens nearly every episode... its so infuriating!
