Passion is not only about sex and that is what this movie shows. The conversation starts off as many might when Marie is obviously upset about something. It could have been simply answered with "you forgot to thank me" and have been acknowledged and left at that. But their connection is deeper than that and the ensuing "communication" goes to a level that can only be achieved with real trust laid bare. It is sometimes exhausting to watch Being shot in black and white added to the drama. I read reviews done by many professionals and they are missing the point of this one. The acting done by the two actors is extraordinary and one's understanding of what is going on depends on one's own ability to go that deep in a conversation with someone you love.
