I’m like everyone else. I was totally surprised that I actually liked the show. It doesn’t sit on the shoulders of Arnold, all of the actors/actresses together make it good. It was funny and serious. Good television.

I agree with Nina Savino. The show is awesome and amazingly written. But the more I watched, the more I realized many scenes seemed exaggerated probably for entertainment purposes. I realized that one should NOT watch this show to gain a true accuracy of our history. As a black woman, we all know how our history is and was. But it is refreshing, that just for a moment while watching, I can have some hope that our future can get better. I’ve never read the books, but the acting is amazing and characters are pleasing to the eye. Rege is awesome and so sexy!!! Almost too much sex, but I get it. Nonetheless, you will not be disappointed.
