I felt obligated to make this post as I really, really don’t like this show. I sat down and watched the show with my 4 year old daughter and, I was really disturbed. It enforces the societal norms and ideas that get in the way of genuine female-to- female connections& relationships.The ponies are supposed to be friends, but they aren’t nice to each other. They undermine each other, & don’t seem to build each other up, reinforcing competition between your female peers/ friendships. What disturbed me the most was the passive aggression. Modern women already struggle with expressing their anger & accepting their feelings that contradict the image of how a women should behave. This show reinforces that.
