Doctor who is a TV show that has been running since 1963 and has been a main stay in British television and culture with small exceptions. The show follows the time lord known as The Doctor and his/her adventures through time and space with fellow companions inside the wonderful Tardis. The show by no means is perfect but has such charm and imagination behide it that it makes up for some of its short comings in the writing department, plot holes and continuity. Dr Who has changed so much due the main characters ability to regenerate which changes the character looks and personality, as such 14 actors (as of writing this in 2020) have played the main-line (canon) as the on screen version of The Doctor. In 2017 it was announced that Jodie Whittaker would be the first female to play the role of The Doctor. Highlights of the show is during Tom Baker's (4th Doctor) and David Tennant's (10th Doctor) eras of the show, proving to be the most popular actors to play the role. Doctor who will always have a special place in my heart due to it being one of the earliest thing in my life I was a fan off and has had a great impact on me as a person because the show made me want to be a filmmaker and create wonderful stories like the show has countless times. Also the music in Doctor who was the first instance that I got into listening to soundtracks for shows and films which later on developed into enjoying listening to classical music. Doctor Who will hopefully live on as a show for many years to come and keep entertaining generations to come with the Doctor's battles against evil foes such as The Daleks, Cybermen and The Master just to name a few. If your looking to jump into the whoniverse I would strongly suggest starting with episode one of the 2005 revival series of the show with the episode called ''Rose''. If you enjoy what is dubbed New Who then take a trip back in time and try classic doctor who which I suggest you watch the first ever episode of the show which is called 'An Unearthly Child'. Other suggestions for classic who are 'Genesis of the Daleks', 'The Time Warrior', 'Tomb of the Cybermen', 'The Deadly assassin', 'Spearheads from space', 'The Five Doctors', 'Enemy of the world', 'Battlefield', 'Doctor who the TV movie', 'Revelation of the Daleks'.
